We had the most beautiful day today. The sun was shining and it was warm.. Oh, it was lovely..I did manage to get some sun too as I hung the washing out!
I heard we are going to have a really hot and dry summer so my mind is now on ensuring the wild birds have enough water by filling the birdbaths, Laying newspaper and bark chips down around the garden and organizing for a new rainwater tank to be installed to help with the watering of the whole garden.
The thing I’m dreading is getting my summer wardrobe out and packing my winter wardrobe away! Still haven’t done it..
The one thing I know I don’t have to worry about is weight loss! Yes.. I am thin and I love it. Been this way for years now due to Marilyn’s Plan for Weight Loss..
I wrote it to be easy and if you are keen to do the same then go for it. Learn the principal of the Plan and you will have it in your head forever… never to put it on again! Manage the meals during outings and parties, know exactly what you need to do and yet be able to get enough to eat without worrying about it. No measuring or weighing or cutting a meal short… no more excuses either… “Oh, I’m on a diet and I can’t eat that” Sick of saying it? Then say it no more, just relax and go with the flow! Well, that’s it for me…. for now anyway..

I was fortunate enough to secure 4 days work this last week with one day off in the middle for my mum’s birthday. How wonderful was that, I thought to myself. I honestly do worry though because every time I do more than 2 days work I lose so much weight I look skinny. We RN’s in Aged Care work like dogs. It’s hard and fast and certainly not for the faint hearted.
Ok, so the first 2 days went smoothly. The shifts were very busy but not tiringly so and I was not too worn out. I then celebrated my mum’s birthday the next day with a nice lunch at a popular little eatery where I was surprised was full of elderly people out for lunch and having a wondeful time. It was nice for a change to see a dining room full of elderly people being able to choose what they wanted to eat and not have to have someone shovelling food into their mouths without letting them even swallow! I felt a sense of warmth seeping into my every pore to see it.
But let’s get back to the aching Latisimus Dorsi….. My back! Because I eat like I do (according to Marilyn’s Plan for Weight Loss) I have to be careful not to do too much hard yakka and I have to watch my trousers too. I have now put elastic in the waist of my work trousers to keep them from falling off again because the weight falls off me and the waist band of my trousers can’t keep up so I let my tummy out to give the waist band something to sit on so it doesn’t fall down. That is sooooo wrong!
We do Manual Handling training every year as part of our registration and part of that is to ensure we protect our back by holding the stomach taught! This ensures the muscles of the abdomen support our backs and we don’t bend over but squat… hence the trousers (who wants to look up my skirt?). Well, letting my tummy out doesn’t support my abdominal muscles which in turn puts me at risk of back injury. So I do another 2 days work and as I go I am allowing my abdominal muscles out as I go because my pants are getting too loose, and then on the weekend I spend the day cleaning up the mess my family have made in the house and now I’m pooped!
My back has an annoying ache and I’m sooooo cross with myself. I am sick of having to replace the elastic in the waist band of the trousers so now I am going to have to go shopping to buy another pair. This you may think is an easy thing to do but I want and need trousers which look professional, don’t come to the hips allowing my undies to be seen, and are baggy enough in the legs and bum so there is no shape to my body. I do not dress for fashion. I dress for my Profession and to keep that modest, unsexy look. I know if I go to a hospital I want someone to look after me who doesn’t look like a tramp but exhudes professionalism, cleanliness and total discretion in all things.
I could go on but I have had my whinge for the day. If Florence Nightingale were alive today and saw the way Nurses dressed and behaved she would be very angry indeed. Now I will rest and repair! Movies are on and if I don’t get called to any emergency I will remain on the lounge all day. I feel better already.
I would also like to get a few comments from this post too if you wouldn’t mind.
1. What are you looking for in a nurse?
2. What do you expect of them?
3. How do you expect them to dress and behave?
4. Have you had any bad experiences with Nurses?
Team Teen, Team Tween, Team Teeny
These kids have at times been subjected to bullying but we have sorted it out really quickly. The kids on the teams are the most wonderful kids in the world and we cherish them and love ’em to bits!
They have all been on Marilyn’s Plan for Weight Loss and some of them didn’t even know it! If they can do it, then so can you.
When I sent Peter Goers my book to read, ( he is an avid reader) I didn’t realise How friendly I was in my writing.
He said ‘it made him feel like he was at home’ when he read it.
Then, the other day I received an email from a lady who bought my book and she said she ‘felt like she was sitting right next to me when she read it.’ That was so nice.
I even have this on a T shirt.
When you create something for the benefit of others and someone says something nice about it, it’s normal to feel a little shy because you pour your heart and soul into the project, not thinking or imagining how other’s might percieve it but I was so chuffed. It was a lovely compliment. I must admit, I do like to put myself into the other person’s shoes and imagine how they will receive it. I like to teach and I thoroughly enjoy showing other’s ‘How To thingies.’ Pouring your heart and soul into a project is an extension of your personality and it shows the kind of person you are deep down.
I wonder if we can be categorised? Snide, smart aleck, empathetic. apathetic, sweet, determined. smart a..s, cynical, the list is endless. I’m afraid I’m not very good at being snide or smart alecky so I stick to honesty and integrity. It works for me. It also makes me feel my book is a good piece of work and worthy of all the advertising dollars I spend on it and the time I’ve spent talking about it. ( I could talk about it for hours)
No other book on weight loss can say that. For the most part, they are just full of scientific facts to convince you there is no other way but their way if you want to lose weight. My Plan is based on the science of food but I kept it all to myself and just wrote it for you to follow and to learn from. I love it and i’m proud of it.
Free books to the winners so go to the website and read the details and get cracking on your best answer.
I think we all overate a little. Thoroughly enjoyed it though but I didn’t put on any weight. Want to know why? Because of My Plan for weight loss. It’s really so wonderful. You can either spend the rest of your life buying into fad diets or go for my weight loss Plan which does actually work.
Whenever I go to a show where there is a lot of food I know exactly what I can do without putting on weight. You can too. Go and have a look at my website and see what it’s all about. I have a surprise coming soon so keep an eye out for it. Make it part of your News Years resolution.
I just read an article about a US model who is so emaciated looking she has basically been told to put on weight or lose her job. I feel so sorry for these poor girls. They are scared to death of putting on weight for fear of losing their jobs and so they just don’t eat.
Little do they know, they can maintain a thin (not emaciated) frame and be healthy.
When there is no food consumed the body eats into itself including heart muscle and that’s when the trouble begins. They are at risk of cardiac arrest. I would love to see people actually eating and becoming a good weight for their skeletal frame without the risk of harming themselves.
When I first lost all my weight I got very thin, in fact my Husband said I was bony. So I put a bit of weight on to cover my bones and it was extremely easy on My Plan. The difference between My Plan and dieting is you can be in charge of what and when you eat and eating ENOUGH food to keep you from starvation’s door. There it is, that word. STARVATION. Overweight people think if they starve themselves they will lose weight but they won’t. You need to give your body the nutrition it’s screaming out for in order for it to let go and allow you to lose the weight without hours and hours of exercise.
I encourage a little exercise and daily activity for your cardiovescular system which is a must but I don’t encourage hours and hours of exercise which is just wearing out your body. There is no need for it.
With My Plan, I have worked it out as simply and easy as I could to allow you to do it with ease. You don’t have to have a starting date or go out and buy food you’ve never heard of or can’t afford or don’t like. This is one reason I should have called it ‘The Poor Man’s Diet’ Anyone can afford it and anyone can do it. The Principal of the Plan is so easy it can be applied to overweight pets as well and that’s saying a lot.
I never have to be overweight again and I really love that. I can manipulate the Plan to suit me now.
Look out Festive Food, here I come!
