I have a University Degree in Nursing. I studied at the University of South Australia and work for a couple of Agencies. My specialities include Aged Care, Immunisations, School Nursing and Clinical Lecturer to Students of Nursing.
I enjoy Nursing a great deal but only work a few shifts in a month. I am pretty busy with other things as well. I am a Grandmother and am raising a Grandchild. I’ve got two of the cutest little dogs you have ever seen and a Husband who I don’t recognise sometimes. He comes home from his job covered in fingerprint dust.
I used to enjoy reading and have read a few really great books. I love Biographies. True stories make me shiver and gasp!
Writing is very therapeutic and to be able to put your thoughts and experiences on paper is a great way to get it out of your thoughts for good. There are also two other books on the go right now and in the preparation stage. In fact I have a shoe box full of notes and ideas to put together.
I was going to write about why and how my Grand Daughter came to live with us but I’m afraid I couldn’t relive that one for a long time yet. Instead, I will write about my experiences in Nursing. Curl your hair stuff. Don’t think I will rush it because when it hits the shelves I will not be employed in any facility here in Adelaide. It’s a bit damning! My other book is a bit sad. I was unknowingly killing my two little dogs.
I am a self publisher. Does that surprise you? There is so much to do before you get your book on the shelves or on the internet to sell. I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to write a book to find a subject other people would be interested in reading and then to be prepared to work very hard at getting your book finished. It is not for the faint hearted!
