While you are waiting for your hard copy book to arrive (and at the moment the post is in fast delivery mode) can I suggest you go to your kitchen and get it ready. It’s always a good thing to do when you are beginning a weight loss plan as well. You need to start afresh with a whole new outloook and a whole new clean and shiny kitchen.
Clean out your cupboards. Organise your spice racks. Check expiry dates on your foods, spices, herbs etc… clean out your fridge and most of all get rid of all the junk foods you have stored in there. Give them away or add them to your compost bin.
The next thing you can do is to check your cooking and preparation areas. Give them all a good scrub. Then look at the utensils you have for food preparation. Do you have sharp knives? Are your serving platters nice? What condition is your cutlery and dinner service in?
If you don’t have a lot of cooking items, you can write a list of things you need and get them one item at a time. The first thing I would buy would be a good chefs knife for cutting and slicing.
How do you set your table? Do you have a nice dinner set? Nothing makes a meal look more beautiful than a meal served on a pretty plate with clean, shiny utensils and shiny glassware.
Some of us get a bit sick of the same old cooking grind so change it and make it a pleasure. All these little things can give you a lot of pleasure especially when the family comes in to see a beautifully decorated table and a lovely meal in front of them. I am not suggesting you set your table with silver and crystal but you can still do it on a budget.
This is a nice way to teach the children how to set a table for guests and to learn good table manners not to mention family time which can be lacking in our ever fast mode world. Make this the most enjoyable time of the day for the family and enjoy!
